From the 1940’s to 1985 Calvin Hall collected more than 50,000 dream reports at Western Reserve University. In 1966 Hall and Van De Castle published a report that outlined a coding system for dreams from over 1000 college students. The results indicated that participants from various parts of the world tended to have similar dream content.
They found from the reports that.
Sexual dreams occur no more than 10% of the time and is more prevelent in young to mid-teens.
Around 8% of men and womens dreams have sexual content and some result in a ‘wet dream’ as it’s commonly known.
Within Lucid Dreaming some people set their goals to be of a more intimate nature, to either boost self confidence in themselves, relationships or to generate dreams that are designed to give them personal satisfaction.
